I just don’t feel like the Animal Jam membership is worth it anymore. It seems like every fun thing is locked behind a paywall, and the price feels high for what you actually get. My kid loses interest so fast because basically all the cool animals, items, and extras need a membership. It feels like the whole game is just constantly trying to get you to spend more money. For us, it’s really not a good value.

My account was hacked and I tried to get help recovering it, but support never really did anything useful. I kept going back and forth, explaining the same thing over and over, and it just felt like a total waste of energy. In the end, I still couldn’t get my account back.

My daughter plays Animal Jam, and I’m comfortable with it, even though it still makes me a little nervous because it’s an online game. The chat filters can be kind of over the top sometimes, which is annoying when normal stuff gets blocked, but at the same time I’m glad they’re strict because I’d rather deal with that than have anything inappropriate slip through. I’ve seen moderators step in, and reporting actually seems to do something, at least from what I’ve noticed. It’s definitely not perfect, but compared to a lot of other kids games, it feels a lot safer to me.

Animal Jam works fine for me most days, and I don’t really get why some people act like it’s completely unusable. It usually loads quickly, and I’m not getting kicked out all the time or anything, even when I’m moving between areas or playing mini games.
Sure, it can lag a little in crowded spots, and yeah, I’ve had a couple login problems after updates, but that’s not exactly shocking for an online game. Overall, it’s reliable enough for me and not something I’d call frustrating. I’d give it 4 stars

I used to think this game might actually teach something, but it just feels boring now and I kept waiting for it to get more educational or at least a little more interesting and it never really did.
